Hi guys! Today I wanted to talk about secret santa! Don't worry, I'm not gonna tell you who my secret santa is! For our media class, at christmas we do something called secret santa and we pick a name from a hat and we have to give that person a present that we got him. I think it's pretty fun thing to do for media and I think it's exciting!
Hi guys! This blog is something that happened last week so you might know about this! We had our first street fair for this year last week and it's been hectic. it started out fine but we had to close up early because lightning struck really close by 3 times and Mr. M was worried someone would get struck and I would've done that too considering there safety. Also, the food trucks were made out of metal so it would be really attracted to the food trucks even though all the food trucks had really good stuff like rainbow jeaus which tasted really good! Although we had to close early it was a fun time and a good bonding experience for the media students and parents!
Hi guys! Today I wanted to talk about project update. I want to talk aboout B-roll, interviews, and what were doing right now on our project. We've been doing a lot but right now, I don't think we have a head start but were not late either. I think were on a normal pace right now and I hope to get a head start soon!
The first thing I want to talk about is our B-roll. I think its easy to get B-roll since our project is about school and we can practically get the B-roll before school, at school, or after school and I think right now we have a decent amount of B-roll. We're using video for our B-roll and I think we shot about 100 videos of B-roll already? We might want to get a little bit more but I think we're good! I also think our B-roll video was decent and we can probably use most of it. The second thing I want to talk about is interviews. We did 3 interviews so far and I think we might get one more or if we have time, 2 more. The first person we interviewed was Brandon and his point of view was a student and how it affected his time after school about the new bell schedule. That interview was pretty good but one time this janitor was strolling with his cart and we had to stop the interview! The next one was Mrs. Badua and I think hers was good except that it had a little peacock affect sometimes when she moved. The third interview I had was with Bill (William) Arakaki and he is the superintendent for the board of education and he talked about the law. The last thing I want to talk about is what we've been doing other than filming. We already transcribed all three interviews, and I finished the treatment, the who what when where why how, and the story structure. We downloaded all the things that we shot and put it in the computer and also in the final cut pro. We renamed them too. What I've talked about in this blog is my B-roll, Interviews, and others. I'm hoping to stay on track and have fun with this project while doing it. I hoped you liked my blog and I hope youre having a fun time with youre project too! Hi guys! Today, I want to talk about cameras. Cameras are very important for people who is in media or love photography because if there's no camera, how would you capture the moments in life? Or do an interview? I think that the best cameras to use is a T2i. I think T2i's are really good to use because you can use it for photography and videos and focuses really good. It also has good lighting fictures like if you go out to an interview with a dull place. It will turn a dull place into something that doesn't looks really dull. I love using the T2i because it helps you practice more on your skills because it kind of is harder to use more than a vixia but maybe a lot better. I think its good to have a vixia just in case that somethings wrong with your T2i but other that that, I think it's really good!
Hi Guys! Do you guys think that TV would change more in 10 years, or will it dissapear from this face of the earth? From what I think, I don't think that TV would exactly dissapear, but change a lot.
In my opinion, I don't think that TV would actually dissapear from the face of the earth but would literally change a lot more than you think it would. I do know this because when you look in the present and the past, you can see that lots of things changed, but didn't dissapear. Like modern buildings and stores! In like 1800's I know there used to be only be like one general store in one town. Now, there's like 10 stores in one mile radius! It's like is you look 10 years back in 2003, the TV's used to be like 4-inch TV screens and was big and bulky, now, there's 34-inch plasma HD TV and thats only in 10 years! What do you think will happen if another 10 years passed! Another thing I want to talk about is the change in price. The price used to be like $600. Now there up to $3000 to $6000! I think that is 1/5 of the price from ten years back! There's now HD and 3D TV'S to so I think that they would be more expensive. More and more people watch TV now since they like to watch TV shows and watch the episodes everyday. Lastly, I want to talk about the IPads and tablets. I think in 10 years they will have more apps for TV shows like there is today. They actually already have apps for the IPads like Disney! But you do need wifi to watch the episodes. Another thing is that if you don't have a certain cable thing, you can only watch one episode for every show. If you have that cable, you can watch like 5 episodes per show. So if there isn't TV, you would have to pay or need to have membership to watch. I would love to see what would happen to TV's in about 10 years. Will it actually dissapear, or will it just change a lot or not change at all? This has been Annie Funaki, on edublogs. Our 2nd quarter projects are coming up! We are havin the pitch party the week after spring break and I think I would like to talk about something that we did last year. We did a project about smart meters and I would want to go on with that. Well, not really go on but another problem about the smart meters! There's been a controversy about the smart meters and how people would not want to use the smart meter and stick with the normal meter. Well, KIUC is making a statement on that whoever has an old meter, would need to pay $10 monthly to use a old meter and people do not want to pay $10 and is having a riot! I think this is what I would use for my first quarter project!
Hi guys! Today I want to talk about deadlines. So far, I think I'm a little bit good. I got my first quarter on time! I had all these stress on top of my back and now it's gone! Yay! But, I still have to do radios, and 2nd quarter project is coming up! So on this post, I would like to talk about quarter projects, radios, and just media! That's all!
The most important thing I would like to talk about is my first quarter project. We had to turn in scripts, treatment, 5 step outlines, and also our whole video! I got I think everything right on time although it was really hard for me to get it in on time. I think that getting stuff in on time is stressful because what if everything is going out nicely but then a mistake comes up? It makes you rush and think if you are actually going to get it in on time! Although it was a stressful time for my project, I think it was worth it! Also, I want to talk about my radios! Our radio was due on the week before fall break and airs on the week of fall break so we were scrambling to get it done, which was hard. We didn't get our stuff done by thursday but we recorded that day! We had to record on thursday or else we would be doomed! It was because kelli had to leave on thurday since she's going on a vacation , but we recorded on time but I still had to edit. The third thing I would want to talk about is media! We have a lot of deadlines in media every quarter but I know the work pays off. On STN, we would have some stressful deadlines like the sweet 16 that we would have a 16 hour deadline and if we don't make it in on time, we would lose which is hard to think of since we put lots of effort in. and also, we would have seperate competitions that also have deadlines which we would do in 8 hours or less. In conclusion, deadlines are things that we would not want to lose since if we miss one deadline for our job, you could get fired and I would not want that to happen! I guess thats all for todays post! Hi guys! Today, I wanted to talk about 2nd Quarter Interviews. We actually scheduled all of our interviews and we have I think at least 5. We got the senator, a parent, student, teacher and the principal. We already did the questions and for B-roll, we have a script of what we should do. I think that's all! Bye!
Hi guys! for todays post, I want to talk about STN. STN is a competition for young amateur media folks and has about 5 or 6 categories. The categories are: Anchor, PSA, movie trailer, spot feature and music video. I think the categories that I would like to get will be PSA. The three things i want to talk about is what I had last year for STN, why I want to do it, and what PSA is about. That's all, Bye!
The first thing I want to talk about is what I had for last year at STN. The thing that I had last year for STN was the same thing I might do this year, PSA! For last years competition I went to PSA because it sounded like something that could help me more for media. I was in a team with Ava, Leanna and lindsey. We won 3rd place for our STN project and I was so happy! The topic was on 911 and we thought about it hard and we wanted to do it kinda based on like the boy who cried wolf and the girl kept on calling 911 and the one time she needed help, she couldn't get any. The second thing I wanted to talk about is Why I want to do PSA for stn. I want to do PSA for STN because I wanna try do PSA again and learn more and more. Its also really fun from past experience. Lastly, I wanna try just do it for fun and I might do Movie trailer instead too. Lastly, I want to talk about what PSA is all about! PSA stands for Public Service Announcement and almost everyone has a little experience on it since we do it for our third quarter project. It's basically just a person gives us our topic and it could be about anything, we don't know what It's about an it has to be 30 seconds and we have to film it on a short amount of time. I guess that's all! In conclusion, I talked about what I had for last years STN, Why I want to do PSA for STN, and what PSA is all about. I think that wraps up my story, and if youre reading this, comment what you would like to do for STN! This has been Annie Funaki! Hi guys! Today I wanted to talk about our 2nd quarter Project Idea! 2nd Quarter Is already here and We needed to think of 1 idea that we can do. We thought about like 6 ideas until one of them stood out... Having school finish at 2:45! Mr.M told us about that idea and we decided to go with it! now we need to schedule our interviews and find some b-roll that we can use.. We should start now! Gotta go, Bye!
